@jocam21 @MikeCatalana Mike Evans was hurt a lot last year. And maybe he won’t be himself again. But for his career he’s a 10 times better player than Moore. Last year was legit the only year Evans hasn’t been a 1000 yard receiver.

@99_enthusiast @JordanRaanan They were going to wait no matter what. It seems like Webb is another guy they want to talk to and he just became available to interview. I’m sure they have had discussions in plenty of others but they had to see what Monken did and wait for some teams to finish the playoffs.

The stats have looked better, but he’s been in trouble badly a few times and barely gotten out of it. He just has been lucky in that roll some hitters have missed on pitches he missed on.

@ghskiff @MannylivesWW @Jeter45 @JLas43_ Clay Holmes was never this bad. As much as people hated him, and as bad as he was, he never pitched this poorly in the closer’s spot. Williams can legit get no one out when he closes. I wouldn’t trust him pitching an inning in the playoffs unless something changes.

@ghskiff @MannylivesWW @Jeter45 @JLas43_ I get what you are saying. My point is the 7th and 8th innings of playoff games are more pressure than inning 9 with a three run lead against the Angels. You have to gradually get him back in some pressure situations or he can’t play at all in the playoffs.

You can’t try and get him right in a closing situation if he’s just not getting the job done ever. That’s why the leash was extremely short

@ghskiff @MannylivesWW @Jeter45 @JLas43_ If he cant handle closing out a regular season game against the Angels, wait until you hear about how much more the pressure is on the 7th or 8th inning of a playoff game. At some point they have to try and get him right or they won’t be able to use him at all later in the year.

@bdfees Yea I see they made a rule change this year. Will be interesting to see if the Sixers play him a few minutes in some games where he would normally take the night off just to keep him eligible. I’d be fine just keeping him healthy even if he loses MVP.
