@Rukadocious1 @eyyankees Unfortunately, I think this is a no win for the kid. Every level he’s gone to he starts slow, then figures it out. If he did that next spring it won’t be a big deal if he starts slow. But, if he starts slow in August fans will turn really quick.

I'm 42 years old. I'm not on here cursing and screaming nonsense. I'm not a baseball savant. It's not my job. I'm not a reporter - or privy to the Front Office's workings. I simply do not understand how a Manager can survive this long with a team that has had this level of play. Not even just this year. It's something every year. And look - I get it's not on Boone, and he has to play the players he's given, but c'mon. You can't tell me a change isn't needed here. Cashman isn't going anywhere. You need to shake it up here. Try and jumpstart this team. This is one of the most dedicated and passionate fanbases in sports. Not baseball, sports. This is pathetic, embarrassing and quite frankly not ok. It's not injuries. The AL East stinks. There's enough talent (on paper) to be winning games - and The #Yankees have just lost a TON of games in what was supposed to be a very easy part of their schedule (again). It's time for change. New Manager. Trade/DFA some players. Do something.

@coachjblank28 @BB_Mafia_17 @StoogiesBets @YankeeSource I get that. He has a tendency to not put enough into throws. But that’s such a routine play for an MLB 1B. I think I’ve just been spoiled growing up watching Mattingly then guys like Tino Martinez and Tex. If people look back those guys cleaned up so many shaky throws.

@13HerbH I get people have to complain about Volpe everyday and he’s hitting too well to complain about that. But, come on there are multiple bad throws like this every day in MLB. And no one talks about them because that’s a pretty easy scoop for a major league 1B.

Obviously an E-3 but Anthony Volpes inability to make the simplest of throws is mind blowing

There are so many throws like this daily, but the 1B scoop them up. We just don’t notice a ton of these throws because they are routine outs.

@jocam21 @MikeCatalana Mike Evans was hurt a lot last year. And maybe he won’t be himself again. But for his career he’s a 10 times better player than Moore. Last year was legit the only year Evans hasn’t been a 1000 yard receiver.

@99_enthusiast @JordanRaanan They were going to wait no matter what. It seems like Webb is another guy they want to talk to and he just became available to interview. I’m sure they have had discussions in plenty of others but they had to see what Monken did and wait for some teams to finish the playoffs.

The stats have looked better, but he’s been in trouble badly a few times and barely gotten out of it. He just has been lucky in that roll some hitters have missed on pitches he missed on.

I think Devin Williams sealed the deal tonight in terms of not being the closer for the rest of the season

@ghskiff @MannylivesWW @Jeter45 @JLas43_ Clay Holmes was never this bad. As much as people hated him, and as bad as he was, he never pitched this poorly in the closer’s spot. Williams can legit get no one out when he closes. I wouldn’t trust him pitching an inning in the playoffs unless something changes.

@ghskiff @MannylivesWW @Jeter45 @JLas43_ I get what you are saying. My point is the 7th and 8th innings of playoff games are more pressure than inning 9 with a three run lead against the Angels. You have to gradually get him back in some pressure situations or he can’t play at all in the playoffs.

You can’t try and get him right in a closing situation if he’s just not getting the job done ever. That’s why the leash was extremely short

At some point they have to try and get him right or they won’t be able to use him at all later in the year.
