@WSJ Cream always rises to the top regardless of how much money parents throw at what they think gives their kid an edge.

Boy athletes are repeating eighth grade in a "holdback" year to grow ahead of recruitment for college NIL packages potentially worth millions on.wsj.com/4rAVtEQ

@BreeceH Absolutely! Great show — just make sure to watch it with subtitles turned ON
English

@NYJetsTFMedia @ConnorJRogers @nyjets I like it. Those are big swings on injury risk players with Tyson and Hood, but they also have really high ceilings. Their upside is worth the risk at those picks IMO
English

.@ConnorJRogers on the #Jets podcast released a new 2 round mock draft
He has the #Jets taking:
Arvell Reese at 2
Arizona St WR Jordyn Tyson at 16
Tennessee CB Colton Hood at 33
LSU safety AJ Haulcy at 44
What are your thoughts❓

@landsman_j19 @_TomKeller There are many Catholic schools in NY that play in a Catholic league. But there are some Catholic schools in NY who choose to remain in public leagues and their only justification for doing so is “tradition.”
English

@landsman_j19 @KMaherNews12 @NYSPHSAA Well in NY that’s the argument the private schools are raising to oppose a separate playoff bracket.
And give me a break with the participation trophy crap. Public schools just don’t want to have compete against private school teams who have taken their best players.
English

It's happened again! Carle Place (boys) & William Floyd (girls) lose to NON-PUBLIC SCHOOLS in the state basketball playoffs. Carle Place lost to an Albany area charter school. Floyd lost to a Rochester private school. Something needs to be done about this. @NYSPHSAA
English

@JPrezelski @rob_hub13 Theyre doing that now in NY and it doesn’t work
English

@rob_hub13 Make all private schools play up one or two levels
English

Public school coaches: Just work harder and stop crying. There’s no advantage.
Mike White@mwhiteburgh
Just sayin’. In the past two years, 11 of the 12 boys basketball state champs have been either Catholic, private or charter schools. Only exception Central Dauphin. And it’s 16 of 18 in three years.
English

@WomensGolfRep @rob_hub13 And the moment they experience any success the crazy youth sports parents with financial means line up to send their kids there in order to build super teams with easier paths to championship trophies.
English

@rob_hub13 Private schools have a significant advantage. They can and do receruit students, whether athletes or mot from a wider geographic area and thus have a bigger pool to draw from
English

@CoachJunior2910 @allenbrownhas4 @BCarter53 @mwhiteburgh Ok so what’s the rationale for not wanting to play in a private school only playoff bracket? There’s plenty of traveling involved for playoff teams in the public school leagues
English

@allenbrownhas4 @BCarter53 @mwhiteburgh Why the hell would schools like Geibel want to go play against teams like North Catholic or Pittsburgh central? Please don’t be dumb
English

@BCarter53 @mwhiteburgh It amazes me that the Private schools don’t want to have to play each other for a separate state title, I wonder why that is??
English

@daletruman @LostFaith11 @LawKelly38 I haven’t heard of anyone paying tuition to attend a public school. I know it happens but it’s got to be a really small number. And anyone who has the money to do that would probably opt for a private school instead. Either way, it’s not a comparison worth discussing
English

@LostFaith11 @bonescon @LawKelly38 I'm not saying they don't, but kids in this area are usually ruled ineligible for the year.
English

I’ll say it again and again. We need a separate bracket for the non-boundary schools.
Brad Everett@BREAL412
Check out these signs some of the Old Forge fans are holding. The Blue Devils just lost to Sewickley Academy, 52-36, in the PIAA Class 2A championship.
English

@Jeffsnyder67862 @KDJmedia1 @NYSPHSAA That’s the real reason why the CBAs and other catholic schools in the public school leagues don’t want to leave NYSPHSAA.
English

@KDJmedia1 @NYSPHSAA Let’s see what happens when they play Iona prep
English

Syracuse area public schools are tired of Christian Brothers Academy, the five-time @NYSPHSAA state football champions, due to alleged "unfair recruiting practices."
This is major. Those resisting a restructure of NYSPHSAA playoffs must take notice

@teamtitans22112 @StephenHaynes4 @AMHSOfficial @patbuckley10 @SecOneAthletics I didn’t see any other competitive playoff games for them
English

@bonescon @StephenHaynes4 @AMHSOfficial @patbuckley10 @SecOneAthletics They were extremely lucky to win their semi

Albertus Magnus rolls to 'AAA' girls basketball state championship lohud.com/story/sports/h… @AMHSOfficial @patbuckley10 @SecOneAthletics

@LostFaith11 @LawKelly38 Teacher kids? Those are very small in number and isn’t happening for sports related reasons
English

@LawKelly38 please tell me what you do with the public schools who have kids outside their district on their teams and at their schools? if you think that’s not happening, then your head is buried in the sand.
English

@LawKelly38 Here’s the fix. Non boundary schools should be required to play 4A and up. No exceptions.
