all “utility” NFT projects will eventually end in tears from holders, to founders, to teams, to onlookers. everyone when the value prop is “airdrops, parties, merch, and pumping value,” it is simply not long-term sustainable without on-going membership fees so teams pivot

I will no longer be doing tutorials/demos on Goerli. This is missing the mark by a long shot. I guess the market is going to do what the market is going to do. This makes me want to run my own testnet... But I know that's an insane feat.

@PatrickAlphaC @real_philogy When I’ve wanted to preserve my mined/fauceted gETH (because it’s a PITA to get) I just fork a mainnet chain locally using foundry and deploy to that. Arguably a better practice, and regardless there are plenty of ways to learn for totally free

@PatrickAlphaC As long as the value of Goerli ETH stays relative low <1$ I'd argue makes dev life easier, no? Especially if you need test something that requires a lot of ETH, was a big pain to farm faucets before you could buy dozens of Goerli ETH with a couple bucks
