Not slapping a coward- he hit a soldier with acute stress disorder and likely traumatic brain injury from over pressure injury. It was the right thing to do to relive him from command. In the U.S. military, officers do not strike their men. Ever.

Interesting that you chose Patton as your picture. One of our most effective generals. Removed from command after slapping a coward. Ike was forced to reinstate him because he needed him. Goes to show that the military follows a command structure and does what is best for the war fighting services.

日常的に海外メーカーのデータシートを読んでるオレって、ひょっとして英語が得意なんじゃね？って錯覚してしまいそうになるけど、冷静に考えてみるとオレの知ってる英単語なんて Input Offset Voltage とか Common Mode Rejection Ratio とか、そんなのだけだった。

Demanding it is too much. I think it’s always ok to request things, but a request means you have to be able to accept no as answer.
I must admit, I think I would struggle learning Japanese. Traditionally I’m better at reading and writing foreign languages than speaking and listening. I have a problem deciphering different accents.

I met an elderly Japanese man who can no longer work because he broke his femur and nearly died from pneumonia. He commented on my burger post and asked how much it cost. I learned the price was enough to pay for three days of his food!
I would like to buy him lunch sometime. Can you please tell me if that would be ok culturally? And if so, are there any apps that let people share money? What is the best way to help?
