@Nadav_Eyal @biannagolodryga Isn’t attacking Iran’s energy infrastructure also complex and fraught with danger, and would also trigger a severe escalation?

Exclusive - Israeli security officials: The option of seizing islands in Iran (Kharg or others) or the Strait of Hormuz is “complex and fraught with danger,” and would likely trigger “massive Iranian attacks on energy infrastructure, the laying of mines, and, in any case, a severe escalation.” Their recommendation, as conveyed to decision-makers: if Iran refuses an agreement- and in any case escalates attacks on regional energy- the allies should threaten (and, if necessary, carry out) strikes causing extensive damage to Iran’s energy infrastructure, and not immediately execute a ground operation.

Hate to burst any bubbles, but a woman's body count or slutty past costs her absolutely NOTHING in realistic dating market value. Even if it did, any woman can easily defeat her ho phase forever by simply not talking about it. Checkmate. Foids win. Flawless...victory.

@perky_smiles @pr574168983635 @Steve_Sailer Only the antisemitic criticism of Israel is antisemitic. And if you think sometimes antisemitism is a good thing then you are an antisemite and should analyze the psychological roots of your envy and fear.

@tomsweissmann @Steve_Sailer And that's simply a statement of fact. Dahl wasn't defending Hitler or justifying his treatment of Jews, but it would be absurd and bizarre to claim Hitler "picked on them" them at random. Jewish group behavior contributed to antisemitism; this should frankly be uncontroversial.

My wife was formerly promiscuous. I was a virgin. She was then radically born-again. Committed to church, evangelized constantly, Puritan books in her bedroom, prayer journals, grief over past sexual sin, etc. We got to know each other well for over a year, dated for four months, engaged for two and a half, and didn't sin sexually with one another. Our first kiss with each other was at the altar on our wedding day (reaction pic attached!). We've been married for over five years now, and she's been the most wonderful and godly wife, mother to our three children, and homemaker you could imagine. She's more pure than most virgins, as biblical purity has less to with past sins (though they certainly matter) and more to do with one's current posture of the heart and daily decisions to honor the Lord (Matt. 5:8). We're far too quick to forget the story of the woman labeled as a known "sinner" (likely a prostitute) in Luke 7:36-50 who was washing Jesus' feet with her tears while kissing them too. The Pharisees were shocked that Jesus let a public sinner do this. Jesus responded with a parable about debts being forgiven and ended with this powerful conclusion: "Her many sins have been forgiven; that’s why she loved much. But the one who is forgiven little, loves little" (Luke 7:47). Everyone seems to highlight the benefits of virginity, and it certainly is a blessing. But we forget to highlight the benefits of being forgiven much as well. My wife knows the depths of Jesus' forgiveness more than most people, enabling her to more easily live out a life of passionate love for her Savior. A woman or man's past sexual sin matters. But what matters far more when it comes to deciding who to marry is if the person is truly born again, if their repentance is real, if they truly have a heart for Christ, if they truly follow Jesus and obey his commands. "God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong. God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world — what is viewed as nothing — to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, so that no one may boast in his presence. It is from him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom from God for us — our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, — in order that, as it is written: 'Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.'" (1 Cor. 1:27-31) "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!" (2 Cor. 5:17)

@churrascooooo If AI steadily gets cheaper, faster, and better, enterprise will benefit from it. AI will do to workers what Amazon did to brick and mortar retail. Won’t replace all, but will offer a more convenient alternative that replaces many. It will be irresistible.

Stressed pregnant mothers are twice as likely to have girls because male fetuses are more fragile and die off while females survive the harsh conditions. Physically stressed women had only 31% boys vs 56% in healthy mothers. A solid 2019 study in PNAS tracked 187 women starting early in pregnancy and looked at a ton of stress signals: anxiety, depression, PTSD stuff, blood pressure, cortisol levels, inflammation, calorie intake, sleep- you name it, they measured 27 different markers. They split the women into three groups: - The "healthy" ones (about 65% of the group, basically low stress across the board) had the usual U.S. birth ratio: around 56% boys. - The psychologically stressed group (17%, really high anxiety/depression scores) dropped to about 40% boys. - The physically stressed group (another 17%, things like high blood pressure plus eating a lot more calories 500–600 extra a day but normal mental health) ended up with only 31% boys. That's roughly a 2:1 girl-to-boy ratio. Out of all 88 boys born in the study, 69 came from the healthy moms, while just 8 came from the physically stressed ones. The researchers put it pretty straightforward: really intense maternal stress early on seriously lowers the chances of a male fetus making it to term. Male embryos already start out a bit more fragile than females, and spikes in cortisol, inflammation, or other physical stressors seem to tip them over the edge.

@amitisinvesting Or there are competing factions in the government, with one negotiating and the other refusing to negotiate, both acting like they’re in charge.

IRAN RESPONDS TO THE US 15-POINT AGREEMENT: - Iran rejects ceasefire, says it will not negotiate with parties that violated agreements - Will only end the war after achieving strategic goals - Accuses Israeli journalists in Western media of spreading propaganda and denies any direct or indirect talks with the U.S. This is according to the Fars News Agency, essentially the official media outlet of the IRGC. Now, there are two scenarios here: 1) Iran is actually negotiating but denying all negotiations to place maximum pressure on the US so that credit markets continue to price in further escalation which could make Trump give more concessions 2) There are zero negotiations happening, there is no peace deal in place, all of the reporting on this has been wrong and the war is continuing like it was before any of these headlines came in. If it’s the latter, markets may start to give up the move they made yesterday after hours. If Iran is just saying this to create more leverage and markets figure that out, then the idea of a ceasefire becomes more real and potentially could get priced in to a greater extent than the move we saw yesterday.
amit@amitisinvesting

BREAKING: The United States has sent a 15-point agreement with terms to a one month ceasefire to Iran, as per the New York Times. The exact terms have not been disclosed but broad ideas are around Iran giving up full control of their nuclear weapons and the US lifting sanctions.

The point Trump is making is that the United States was never really competing in a "fair international order," it always had to pay a price for it, neglect some key aspect of national security, and obviously, an actor like China benefited, with Iran being the prime example of a discount oil station that Beijing took advantage of for years.

A lot of the problems in the world right now can be explained by this video. For one thing, it’s a big reason why the US government is so unaccountable to public opinion. These are *college students.* A significant amount of the country is totally checked out and comfortable enough not to think it matters.

Victor Davis Hanson: Israel Calls Iranian Security Forces Before Killing Them The Israeli military is targeting those responsible for killing protesters in Iran months ago. Israel has reportedly gone so far as to call its targets in advance to tell them they are about to be killed. “There was a really bizarre story today where he called up a [Revolutionary] Guard officer and they said, ‘You’re dead [man].’ He said, ‘Yeah, I’m a dead man walking, but I didn’t do anything wrong.’” @VDHanson Full episode: youtu.be/jzm7oP9eC2w
