See thread starting here: Personally, my belief is that Core has been holding power through a sleight of hand, and that Core was the only attack surface available at the time, and hence utilized by the bad guys. And they are bad guys. None had good motives or intentions. Later this week I will write something more comprehensive on these thoughts. I agree there needs to be serious alternative implementations designed to take away Core's power. And Core and the routing opened up to all those who want to control Bitcoin through Core needs to be obliterated. That was an attack that was not properly understood because of all the chaos around that time, chaos I believ designed to hide precisely that one objective - capture Bitcoin by capturing Bitcoin Core and forcing it as the one and only implementation, because of its historical precedents. Core and its power in the space gets eliminated and its a whole new ballgame, and one we should understand in advance so when the next attack would then come, and it will, Bitcoin supporters will be ready to see it for what it is, and kick its ass. If, by chance, BIP-110 fails this time around, my understanding is it can be resurrected, and if that is true or not, there are also other ways to catch this pony. Time to stop thinking about "digital credit" and focus on just holding actual Bitcoin, or at least the ETF. Also time to all start running nodes and acting like Bitcoin is our sovereign right. Because it is.

@cmnfmn @adam3us The entire point of his post that you replied to is that this character assassination game has 0 technical effect on Bitcoin. That this strategy of using gold bullets on a werewolf won't work. Bitcoin's technical community has the robustness to swallow up and spit out bad ideas.

Over a long enough period of time, even treasury companies will likely bleed to Bitcoin, just like altcoins, mining equities, and crypto exchange stocks all eventually bleed to BTC. The only reason anything else in the industry exists is because of Bitcoin. That does not mean the others things cannot go up. Often times, in bull markets they do go up with BTC. But they *still* eventually bleed to BTC even if there is 1-2 cycles of outperformance.

@Jethroe111 Much love George, just offering a nuance. Outsourcing my ethics to God (Father, Son & Holy Spirit) drastically changed my life and lives of those around me for the better. It was a very conscious intentional decision, however, so I still believe I was/am ultimately responsible.

Long-Term Holder Supply in Loss is close to reaching the same level seen at Bitcoin’s 2018 price bottom. However, a significant further price drop and more loss realization by these investors are still needed to reach the same loss level seen in 2022. If Long-Term Holder conviction weakens in 2026, an early price bottom is likely to occur. But if they remain confident and do not move their BTC, the price will probably need to fall further for supply to become deeply underwater. @Alphractal
