Exhibit 9,657 on why Jamaal Williams is one of my favorite Cougs ever. He had EVERY reason to leave and came back because “loyalty is everything”. Legend.

@ItsJakePerry @JerusalemDemsas I think the explanation is simple. For most of human history, a child was a net producer to the family economy. For the last few generations (~millennials and forward), children are net consumers.

@JerusalemDemsas In every country around the world, when people gain the ability (socially, literally) to choose how many kids to have, they choose fewer. We might consider the possibility that this is the number of kids humans have always wanted & that the rest have been accidental or coerced

I wrote about why millennials freeze at the baby question. The decisions life asks you to make used to be able to ruin you. For college-educated Americans, they mostly can't anymore. Progress has eliminated almost every irreversible decision from modern life. Marriage? Career? Moving? All of these--to a large extent--can be reversed or mitigated. Having a kid is the last high-variance decision left. And we have basically zero practice making decisions like that. New from me at @TheArgumentMag: theargumentmag.com/p/theres-no-su…

Grateful and humbled to receive the 2026 Distinguished Alumni Award from @BYU. This honor reflects God’s grace, the love of my family, and the faithfulness of so many who have walked this journey with me. I pray my life continues to point people to Jesus.

Auburn complained very loudly about missing the NCAA Tournament. I didn’t agree with lots of the arguments made on their behalf, but they went and won the NIT Winning is a much better way to make a point than taking your ball and going home like Notre Dame football did this year

The literal resurrection of Jesus is, of course, the subject of so many scriptures that it is settled doctrine for believers of the Bible and Book of Mormon. For us, the universal resurrection is equally certain. I wonder if we fully appreciate the enormous significance of our belief in a literal, universal resurrection. The conviction that death is not the conclusion of our identity changes the whole perspective of our mortal life. It affects how we look on the physical challenges of mortality. It gives us the strength and perspective to endure the mortal challenges faced by each of us and by those we love. It signifies that mortal deficiencies are only temporary! It also gives us the courage to face our own death or that of loved ones—even deaths we might call premature. Our belief in the resurrection also encourages us to fulfill our family responsibilities in mortality. It helps us live together in love in this life in anticipation of joyful reunions and associations in the next. #GreaterLove #GeneralConference Artwork: “Above All” by Kelsy and Jesse Lighweave

My favorite mission companion and I have an shared memory of an extremely awkward stake conference musical number of "Glory to God on High." So every six months, when the hymn is sung at General Conference we have to text each other "Worthy the Lamb!!!" and have a great laugh.

@USUtheRightBlue @WCCSG_ If I hadn't gone to and loved BYU, I'd choose Utah State over Utah 1000 times out of 1000. Cache Valley is where it's at.

@WCCSG_ Utah because commuting to school and going to Jazz games instead of their own basketball team isn’t an ideal college experience in my mind ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Go to USU, have a great college experience in a college town, and no honor code to tell you what to do sounds pretty nice to me.
