US HHOF is national. IIHF has a section in the HHOF because it is an international HHOF, which happens to be in Canada. If this is something the US HHOF would want, they’d have to also have a donation program with the IIHF and have a specified IIHF section. They should push for that, not call BS.

I think what people are missing re: Hughes’ golden goal puck going to the HHOF is that yeah the HHOF is in Canada so yeah the puck is going to be in Canada. But there are Canadian or other non-American pieces of baseball and basketball memorabilia in those HOFs in the US.
