With a highly diverse topography, a large country like India needs a dedicated ministry for #DisasterManagement. So saying “this is routine” oversimplifies a much larger environmental problem. A natural event becoming more frequent and more severe is exactly what scientists are warning about.

Why didn't other Indian cities follow Indore's cleanliness model? What was the problem—lack of political will, poor execution ,insufficient budget, or uninterested babus?.
