In The Dark with @davespecter youtu.be/QZqHyAw7nKE via @YouTube #theblues #blues really quite awesome

I mean way more than that.
I mean there are those who would maliciously manufacture misinformation in the hopes of dividing us even further. I mean that this is the exact moment we would be most exposed to their propaganda and we need to be vigilant.
That’s what I mean.

You mean just because it’s on the internet, you still need to fact check? Does that mean opinions and suppositions aren’t facts?

@jeffturner @zephoria @LoyolaChicago Agree. Similar reactions in my classes at @LoyolaChicago , we then find examples and deconstruct and map the information threads stemming therefrom. I’ve always thought this could be an interesting data project @gahlord could tackle.
English

@ericbryn @zephoria @LoyolaChicago The Dylann Roof example in that piece is eye-opening. Yes, effective action was able to be taken after the fact, but it is clear that the strategies and tactics required to combat these data void methods are not simple to orchestrate in advance.
English

@jeffturner @zephoria @LoyolaChicago It’s an interesting issue, critical to understand the mechanics...”technology is the amplifier”.
English

@ericbryn @zephoria @LoyolaChicago This is interesting reading: "A rising trend in online misinformation is to encourage users to search for a topic for which the motivated manipulator knows that only one point of view will be represented."

@marcLdavison This is truth. Consumers/customers/clients, in nearly every other market/industry, align first with brand. The agent owns the 1:1, F2F, relationship, the front-line embodiment of brand (hers/his and the company’s). Brand symbiosis.
English

If an agent is w/brokerage with good brand equity in the market, they should absolutely leverage the broker brand. If they're with/ brokerage w/no brand equity, they should move their business to one that has.

TGIF @marcLdavison any thoughts on pros/cons of agents having their own logos vs. leveraging their brokerage brand? #branding #marketing #RealEstate

Here's an ad @hawaiilife ran in an issue of a local #realestate mag celebrating "Top Producers"...

@1000wattmarc I think an interesting thread to pull in the mastermind @LauraMonroe is why/when/how a consumer/client STOPPED thinking of themselves as a “character within a vivid story” as @1000wattmarc says. Why/when/how did a brand lose its customers/clients by not nurturing the story.
English

That branding and name recognition are the same things. They are not. Recognizing a company name and associating it to an industry does not manifest brand. Brand happens when a company ascend a category &equated to a greater value or ideal than the industry it's in.

What is the biggest misconception, myth, or weakness in the real estate industry around #BRAND? Asking for your thoughts for a presentation! Twitter for simplicity. Thanks! #branding #marketing
English

@LauraMonroe A name, a symbol, a mark is simply those (or this: a trademark), which differentiate(s) your ‘goods & services’ from a competitor(s). Reputation, excellent service, etc, each falls w/n the same general bucket.
