At least some of these Jewish Canadians were most likely killed by the Israeli military.
One of them, who I knew personally, was burned so thoroughly that their body could not be identified for weeks. Hamas did not have the capability to do that.

You may have been able to get away with this level of gaslighting with a lot of people if you'd been a Nazi propagandist during WW2, but in this era when genocidal statements by Israeli leaders, polls showing mass Israeli support for genocide, videos showing the death & destruction & cutoffs of essential supplies of food, medicine, etc., & eyewitness testimony from Palestinians are all regularly in our social media feeds, "Don't believe your lying eyes" isn't going to work.
