When, in fact, Churchill led a National Government, i.e. one that INCLUDED leaders of the opposition parties in prominent roles. Labour leader Clement Atlee was appointed Churchill's Deputy and other leading Labour and Liberal politicians held major roles in the cabinet. The person Tucker is talking about is Oswald Mosley who was the leader of the British Union of Fascists and was not elected to anything. He wanted Britain to become a fascist country and work with Hitler. Despite this, contrary to Tucker's claims, he was not even detained for the full duration of the war and was released in 1943, two years before it ended. In most other countries he would have been hanged for treason without a second thought the day the war started. Britain's treatment of this tiny group of fascists, i.e. enemy sympathisers and collaborators, during WW2 is an example of extraordinary restraint and respect for the sanctity of human life and freedom that was not only unparalleled in the world at that time but arguably remains rare and hugely admirable even by the standards of today across most of the world. In short, Tucker is completely wrong and we can only conclude that the spreading of these malicious lies is motivated not only by his ignorance of history but also by the fact that he will say ANYTHING he deems necessary to suit his political agenda. His opposition to the current war in Iran, about which I myself have expressed some skepticism, does not justify this behaviour and is, in fact, undermined by it - no right- thinking person can take him seriously after this.

Ra is one of the most semantically broad words in biblical Hebrew. It can mean moral evil, yes but it primarily and most commonly means calamity, adversity, disaster, or harm. It is the same word used when Joseph says his brothers meant to do him ra harm. It is the same word used for bad figs in Jeremiah. It is the word for misfortune. This is not a fringe theological escape hatch. It is why virtually every modern critical translation the ESV, NIV, NASB, CSB, NRSV translates Isaiah 45:7 as "I create calamity" or "I create disaster", not moral evil. The KJV translation is a 17th century rendering that does not reflect how the Hebrew word functions in its literary context.

Why would a God who claims to hate evil be the one creating it? Christians often push everything onto Satan. Evil? Satan. War? Satan. Pain? Satan. Suffering? Satan. But then you open Bible and read Book of Isaiah 45:7: “I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create evil, I the Lord do all these things.” Read that carefully. It does not say “I allow evil.” It does not say “Satan creates evil.” It does not say “humans brought evil.” It says: I create it. So let’s be honest for a second. If God creates evil, why is Satan always the one blamed? If God creates evil, in what sense is He perfectly good? If God creates evil, what real line is left between God and the devil? If God creates evil, why should anyone trust a claim that He hates it? And if all of this is true, then what exactly is worship built on? Because at that point, it starts to sound like: worship me or face the consequences of what I myself created. Yet people still insist this is the definition of absolute goodness. So what am I missing here?
