Wolfgang Pauli's "Pauli Effect": Wolfgang Pauli, a pioneer of quantum physics, was notorious for his seemingly disastrous effect on experimental equipment. Whenever he was near, technical equipment would malfunction or experiments would fail, which led to his colleagues jokingly dubbing this the "Pauli Effect". Pauli himself was aware of this reputation and even avoided certain labs to prevent mishaps.

In this additional analysis, the Novavax shows 100% efficacy vs hospitalization (0/17312 in vax arm, 12/8140 in placebo arm). As previously noted, the nvx has a broader immune response that seems more protective, esp in older adults #ab005" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">sciencedirect.com/science/articl… twitter.com/Daniel_E_Park/…
Daniel Park@Daniel_E_Park

@doctorvasan Yes, what I thought was fascinating was that the Novavax efficacy is comparatively higher among older individuals (who are more likely to have severe disease). Sample size limits stat. significance but would be very important if this holds up, & consistent w/ adjuvanted vax.
