@rickygervais One of the best shows that I’ve ever seen. I still recommend it to this day to people and recently re-watched it. That damn mailman absolutely stole the show.

@Altgthr Give Carrick the job as we have little to lose. If Ancelotti was a few years younger I’d be tempted but he isn’t so go with Michael, back him and then review in 6 months time if we aren’t flying. The next transfer window is crucial to get it right.

No matter your opinion on Carrick (and I like him/would give him the job - in part because the really big names have been ruled out), you have to give him credit for where he has got us to. on xPPG, RA was landing us around 57pts (at best IMO) and Carrick has arrived there with 5 games to go. You can decide if that’s an achievement by him or RA didn’t deliver on expectation. Either way, it’s great that UCL footy is as good as back.

@Rachel__Nichols It's def going to influence votes which begs the question as to why votes don't get cast before play in games start... like wait an extra day or two to allow exceptional circumstances cases to be heard, rule, send out ballots then start play in games... why can't this happen lol

The ballot for NBA Awards voting has popped into my email, now that the "extraordinary circumstances" decisions have been made. Quick turnaround - we have to turn them in by 3p ET tomorrow, which means before tomorrow's games. (No, play in games aren't supposed to influence votes anyway; yes, voters are human and like it or not, this week some players have made some statements - good and bad - about their candidacy.)

@BrettSiegelNBA Just remove the rule altogether - if somebody made enough of an impact that people are talking about them and they only played a certain number of games , why does that matter. Also do we not trust voters to use logic when making votes?

Devin Booker played in 64 games this year. So I guess those games he missed to injury aren't considered "significant enough?" This is such a slippery slope for the NBA to go down with the 65-game rule. If you are going to make the exception for one, it needs to be for all.

Most noteworthy takeaway from this is the ruling all but dusts Jalen Duren’s chances of making 3rd team, and Detroit will not have to pay him the Designated Rookie max (Rose Rule). 5% savings on their future cap table. Pretty huge considering they have a title contender.

@tobyasky This will kill the private rental market, having some guarantee of a tenant for a minimum of 12 months is all that makes being a landlord worthwhile . Watch for the mass sell off of properties by landlords.

Let me summarise for you guys. As a tenant, you can leave anytime you want, nothing like 12 or 24 months contract. You only have to give your landlord 2 months notice if you need to leave asap. Landlords cannot evict you anytime, maybe because they or their families want to move into the property, they must provide legal grounds like unpaid rent, etc…you can even take them to court if you feel it’s not right and access free legal advice. Landlords can only increase rent once per year, but if you feel it’s above the market rate, you can challenge it that it’s too much. You have a right to a pet, and you can make that request even if landlord says he doesn’t want pet in his property. Summary is that the law is trying to give tenants stronger rights, stability and negotiating power.
