The Pareto principle applies to the dignity of work, too. Only 10% of people get any real dignity from their work. For the bottom 90% work is meaningless, soul-sucking drudgery and anything, even oblivion, is preferable. 10% of people can't comprehend that, but 90% can.

It seems pompous to assume that this Retro Futurism present primarily with Moebius was really appealing to the Heavy Metal Magazine Generation like myself. I would enjoy a return to it on occasion though I suspect it wouldnt resonate as well.
