@Sam_Phalen The show runners were offered a full season order to properly end the show, but they had a Netflix development deal and a Disney development deal and they were rushing out the door. They declined more episodes and the final season suffered for it.

@Sam_Phalen We could've had Dany take King's Landing, but at the cost of losing everyone she trusts. She's now in a land that feels foreign, not fully accepted by the people she is ruling, and slowly devolves into paranoia and madness. Instead of that journey, she heard bells and went mad.

I finished Game of Thrones last night. Incredible ending. Maybe even perfect. Why did I get so many negative warnings about it?

I left Christianity almost 20 years ago for theological reasons. If I hadn’t though, I would probably be leaving now, if Turning Point USA is what Christianity in America is today. I’ve never heard so much talk of Christianity while being completely devoid of the actual teachings of the religion.

No one wants you to apologize for being white. You mistake acknowledgement that some doors have been open to you because of your race, as requiring apology. You are feeding white supremacist with your language, whether you intend to or not. Our country has a long history of racism. You want to just move forward with no acknowledgment of the past. We can do both.

Nicki Minaj said something at Amfest that was really profound. I'm paraphrasing, but she said, "just because I want little black girls to think they're beautiful doesn't mean I need to put down little girls with blonde hair and blue eyes." We all got wrapped up over the last few years in zero sum thinking. This was because the people who think they rule the world pit us against one another. @NICKIMINAJ rejects that. We all should.
