@brumby_fan I dont disagree, but i do wonder how much of that is Lonergan too enabling DM. I actually havent minded Tane off the bench this season except that missed tackle. Im seeing some of Bernie's touches in there. Imo i dont think this was the right game to drop him into at 10.

@jonodeee Also really noticeable how much better the Brumbies looked when DM came on. I’m not completely down on TE. He needs time. I just want a little more from him. It’s his 5 year

That was a really poor performance from The Brumbies. Goal kicking a massive problem. No territory management. Tane completely missed his chance.

@BaronDestructo Jerry Goldsmith is one of the goats. The instrumentation, pacing, thematic writing is incredible - perfectly depicts the beauty/wonderment of exploration and the final frontier. The visuals are also perfect - the ship + celestial bodies all have weight/presence/beauty.

@HuwTindall I would imagine a range of factors. But what i really like about it is now the Force have a bit of an x-factor twist to their games. Even if he doesnt play well, the eyeballs his inclusion will have, in a similar way to JAS, can only be good for SR and the Force.

@MarioVerbelen Question from a designer - it sounds like doing the actual coding is something you value. How often are you coming up with new code for solutions vs using existing code and adapting it for a solution? What aspect of the 'hands on' is it that you enjoy that most that AI replaces?

This is one of my reasons why I stay a manual dev. AI is nice and good for many things, but I don't let it do my passion. But when I see co-workers using it on our codebase, I feel like I'm reviewing LLM's for them and my whole mind explodes when I read the clutter that doesn't make any sense. This mindset of just let AI generate something and the senior will review it. I just can't approve and put my stamp on it. I just can't. For now it's very limited but it's starting to become the new reality and it's spreading fast. So I start to feel useless as well, I still have hope for the next year but then ... I don't know. Back to the farm?

@HuwTindall The worrying trend is how often he is getting injured at super level. What is happening at training?

From a neutral watcher, brumbies absolutely robbed by that missed accidental offside call. Great finish by the reds, but should have never gotten that far. Where is the TMO? #BRUvRED

@Nelsonhdale @NSWWaratahs I think i want to see Gordon/Deb combo first before relegating Gordon to bench. I think their kicking games together could be quite effective. I still like Teddy off the bench as impact. Kells or Reilly at 13 would be interesting too. Creighton should be dropped.

@TommyTudehope They took a punt on him over Tane, and it's backfired unfortunately. Has some flair, but the basics go missing under pressure. Deb to start next week imo.

@ChristypDoran @HuwTindall So where does Suaalii plays when marky mark + jorgo are on the wings and Tom Wright is at fullback? He should absolutely be honing 13 over the next 2 years for the greater good.

@HuwTindall Suaalii being wasted at 13. He’s there because they don’t have a big body in midfield.

Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii out of the Waratahs’ clash with the Hurricanes. It could be the best thing for him, and the Tahs. Why? If George Pullman takes his chance it could give McKellar some food for thought and see Suaalii move to the back field.

@akbuilds_ Respectfully, this screenshot alone doesnt really support your argument. Literally any model right now can spit out a dashboard. You would be better served showing a before and after showing how your guideline file changed the output of the model for the better.

Designers keep saying “AI designs are slop.” So I added a 28KB Anti-AI-Slop design guideline as a skill inside Figsor MCP. Then Claude Sonnet 4.6 designed this dashboard in Figma via Cursor. Some designers will still reply “slop”. That’s fine. Tools change. Complaints stay the same.

@tomjohndesign @v0 Cool pattern! Smallest of small nits - could there be an arrow tip instead of circle at the end of the line to show the direction? I know it should be obvious given the pulsing new button and where they clicked originally, but it might add that little bit of extra comprehension

Created what I'm calling "zombie UI". @v0 moved a lot of the settings from the sidebar into a new settings modal. ... but we didn't tell anybody. After more than a few confused users, I whipped this up yesterday. It's a pattern that we can reuse I think, if/when UI changes around. Basically, there's a fake version of the old UI, when you click on it, it shows where it now lives, and then when you do the new action (open the modal) it deletes the zombie UI. I'm personally very opposed to full screen modals and videos showing what's new, as they intercept logged in users and usually just get dismissed. This seems like a good middle ground. It's live now.

@tomjohndesign Man there's something about those old devices - so much individualism in them. One of my first ones was the olympus mrobe and i thought it was the coolest thing ever!

I have the very real urge to buy old hardware that I had as a teen and fumble my way through making it work as a standalone LLM device.
