As we come to the close of the year, we pause with gratitude for life, for partnership, and for the work we continue to do together. I am thankful for the relationships that make our mission possible and for the trust we share with our partners and communities. May the season bring rest, renewal, and hope as we prepare for the year ahead. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a peaceful, purpose-filled New Year.

Honoured to represent CBM Uganda at the Global M&E Expo’s first anniversary, and deeply humbled that both CBM and I were recognized for our contribution to strengthening evidence, inclusion, and accountability. This celebration belongs to the incredible practitioners, partners, and communities who continue to turn data into action and ensure that no one is left behind. Congratulations to the @evaluationbench for building a powerful movement of evaluators who make evidence practical and usable.

Today as we celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2025. I believe that my personal story is proof that we must create our own opportunities. I acquired my disability at the age two and carried it through school up to the university. When the employment world rejected me because of my disability, I took action. I started a detergents company. This business’ growth every day prompted me to start a @TwezuuleF , focused on the very thing that sets us free: #FosteringDisabilityInclusiveSocietiesForAdvancingSocialProgress and that “Wealth Creation Programmes: A Key to Socio-Economic Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities” (Uganda’s Theme). To all my fellow resilient youth with disabilities, big Congratulations on this memorable day. Never forget your power to create. Don’t wait for a seat at the table build your own table. I am so proud of your strength. As we celebrate #IDPWD2025, remember this: “Your ability is stronger than Your disability” #EconomicEmpowerment #BuildYourOwnTable

Today, on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we reflect on Uganda’s theme: Financial Inclusion as a Key to Economic Empowerment. I am proud that CBM Uganda continues to stand with government, OPDs, and partners to build systems that make inclusion real, in health, education, skills, and financial access. Grateful to the @Mglsd_UG for recognising CBM’s contribution to disability inclusion in Uganda. This honor belongs to our partners, our dedicated teams, and above all, to persons with disabilities who lead and inspire this movement every day. We were also honored to be featured in today’s @newvisionwire , highlighting our work and collective impact across the country.

Today, I had the honor of joining @MinofHealthUG and development partners in Masindi district to commemorate the World Sight Day 2025 under the theme “Love Your Eyes” This day is always a powerful reminder that sight is more than vision, it’s dignity, independence, and opportunity. At CBM Uganda, we are deeply committed to ensuring that no one is left behind because of avoidable blindness or visual impairment. Through collaboration with the Government Line Ministries, INGOs, local partners, hospitals, and community based organizations, we continue working to make quality eye health accessible to everyone, especially those in hard-to-reach communities.

This weekend, CBM Uganda partnered with @RACUpperKololo to visit the Hydrocephalus & Spina Bifida Home in Katabi. Families of children living with hydrocephalus and spina bifida too often face stigma and exclusion. This home offers a safe, supportive community where dignity and hope are restored. In line with CBM’s mission to advance disability inclusion, we combined psychosocial support with practical, income-generating skills bead-making and reusable sanitary towel production so mothers can build sustainable livelihoods while caring for their children. We commend @RACUpperKololo for exemplary partnership and service to humanity.

At CBM, we strongly believe in investing in innovation that transforms lives. By supporting CoRSU and other partners in adopting 3D printing technologies, we are helping to create affordable, timely, and customized assistive devices, not just as medical tools, but as gateways to opportunity, education, and participation in society.
