Is this identity and activism focus why she was chosen, or should it be pure merit and delivery on crime, housing, transport and the economy?

Utterly disgraceful & disrespectful behaviour from the new SNP MP for Arbroath & Broughty Ferry. She added a preamble to the loyal oath indicating she didn’t accept it, then read the actual words holding up crossed fingers, presumably to signify she didn’t believe it. Awful.

@Stoviesplz @bellacaledonia People should read what he means. It has nothing to do with detrimenting Scotland, but ending the tyranny London holds over all regions in the UK, and getting money out to places like Tyneside or Cornwall that are just as ignored in Westminster as Scotland, Wales and N Ireland

very pleased my new MP has rattled the archaic cap doffers. Her disdain for the monarchy is in line with 62% of Scots according to recent polls and a much higher % of those who voted for her. And no there should not be an oath that puts non royalists into this difficult position

He is named as a defendant in a case awaiting trial in Spain for a false food poisoning scam he helped orchestrate. Seems a stand up guy to me.

Ten years ago today, every council area in Scotland voted to remain in the EU. It counted for nothing and exposed the democratic deficit we face. Under a Westminster system, it is votes cast down south that will always determine our future. That is not the union of equals

@ScotNational This has nothing to do with detrimenting Scotland, and is about ending the tyranny of London when it comes to funding all regions outside of london, and trying to extend some of the benefits Scotland enjoys to neglected regions all across the country.
