@CalumAM @joannaccherry @TimesRadio Joanna Cherry demanding John Swinney resign over the party finances is a laugh. She lost her seat by over 20% in 2024 because her own local Indy supporters were completely sick of her infighting and stayed home. Mainstream independence voters have totally moved on from her.

Although it was inevitable, it was worth asking for a section 30 just to hammer home we are a defacto colony. Some people do have pride and will not like that thought. But the next move is crucial and needs to happen pretty soon and have its fullest impact before 2030.

Reform UK MSP Senga Beresford tells Scottish Government to 'stop focusing on the politics of division'. In her maiden Holyrood speech, @BeresfordSenga says she sends two of her children to school in England, due to concerns about Scottish education

@dunsmuir_s33559 @SconeOf No, I'm not referring to the union of the crowns. That happened when James VI accepted the crown of England. He tried very hard to achieve a union of the Parliaments.

I generally am nervous of using the term colony but it’s v hard to not see a strong element of it when our toffs were bribed and threatened in secret to dissolve our sovereign parliament and accept the powerlessness of de facto english rule by sheer numbers that is WM.

@alexandertolano @SconeOf That’s the union of the crowns you’re referring to, yep, there never was one and the union of the parliaments is a lie. That makes us a colony.

well I am one of the members who Murrell stole from. I forgive him but he can never be in the snp again. I think he needs to see a shrink given he was stealing when he and NS had a 300 grand household income. That is not normal or rational. Magpieing stupid stuff he did not need

@BloodybushEdge he was basically sponsored by MSM for many years. Indy would never get that. The bbc went rogue after 2010 just in time for v right wing influence. People who call the bbc lefty are crazy. Certainly not in last 15ys. It’s chocca with RW political output

@SconeOf Love or hate him (I've never voted for a Farage party) he is the most impactful UK politician of his generation. So getting tips of a winner would sound like a sensible thing to do. Farage and Salmon had a lot of common ground.

there has never been a fair vote on the union. It there had been such a thing in 1707 it would have lost about 10-90 according to English spy sources. In 2014 it was in the full control of the uk with all the might of the state broadcasters and an exceedingly pro union press

@AlasdairSa77574 When 9 out of every 20 voted yes and we knew the NO vote was skewed to the oldest voters, that was never going to be final say. None of the half million aged 16-27 have ever voted on indy and the same who voted in 2014 are dead and shouldn’t be posthumously dictating future

I think a phase of ‘cold house for unionists’ is a social change we need. We should no longer be tolerant or friendly to people who want us essentially ruled by England or who display british symbolism. Shun and exclude them. We are too nice.

@SconeOf @Innealadair @katiec1314 The SNP historically said a year of polls consistently showing over 60% support for independence. In the 327 polls since the referendum there has not been a single poll that showed support at 60%.

If we wait on Westminster to give the green light for a British Govt sanctioned independence referendum then we may as well pack it in or change our name to the Scottish Region Party. British approved independence referendums became history on the 19th of September 2014. /1

@BloodybushEdge Scots are not like the English. Farrage appeals to the English bc he is posh and cad-like and the english love that and are much more cap doffing than lefty scotland who generally get hackles up hearing posh voices. But imo Eck was shite in the last 7 months+stalled yes growth

@SconeOf That is Cameron's fault for not running a robust campaign. For ceeding the ground to UKIP for years. 2016 demonstrates an insurgency can win, something Salmon failed to do. Salmon should have been taking tips from Farage.

@BloodybushEdge Eck imo blew it in the 1st debate with Darling. He was awful. But overall the yes support went up from about 33% in 2022 to 45% in the huge boots on ground campaign to bypass the biased MSM. Many had never heard indy arguments infiltrated by the unionist MSM before.
