It has become new normal! We have also faced similar situations during recent hiring! TBH, If anyone doesn’t know the basics, that person is not clearing the initial discussion round and straight away rejected! Using AI tools to help and totally relying on it are different things!

i was taking a interview of a guy. he made a project using react and deployed it on vercel i think when i asked what are the hooks in reactjs, he couldn’t answer and completely went blank tbh vibe coding is killing the basic fundamentals of people who are totally relying on it

@alibey_10 Try it using Vim motions It’s support is more then just copy within brackets Also you don’t have to move your hands from keyboard to mouse.

This is one of the best VS Code extension copy anything inside brackets with shortcut (alt + a) I don't know how devs can be productive without it.

Honestly, every dev should always take advantage of "early returns". It's a simple pattern with some important benefits: - it prevent the function from doing unnecessary work (early exit) - you can return results early as soon as the conditions are met - the function becomes more readable - when you handle errors and null cases at the start of the function, it reduces any cognitive load
