@untimelysalts Attributing progress to the project of the wide range of philosophical studies, implies to me that there may be an end to it. Saying there may be an end to philosophy then implies that we will no longer be human.

Arguing that there could be progress in philosophy is akin to arguing that there could be progress in morality.
It's possible from a given ethical perspective to perceive "progress", just as a Kantian might perceive "progress" if everyone in the academy started becoming Kantian.

Yo puedo hacer una obra en donde el tráfico humano es chad, y puedes criticar su calidad y lo que sea, pero objetivamente no es "malo."

Es lógico que la izquierda europeísta festeje lo de las elecciones húngaras.
La defensa de la UE, el proyecto político más ambicioso y exitoso de la historia, debería estar por encima de ser de izquierdas o de derechas.
Hablamos de países que llevaban siglos matándose, que ahora son aliados y que han sido capaces de crear una zona que está siempre entre los primeros puestos en PIB, igualdad, seguridad, calidad democrática, IDH, esperanza de vida etc.

@Jorgecomproun @dppd___ Algunos os flipáis con las criticas al ateismo. Muchos ateos simplemente creen que Dios no existe, pero no pretenden demostrarlo. Otros sí pretenden demostrarlo, pero si quieres saber si algo se puede demostrar o no como mínimo deberías intentar demostrarlo.

Having studied symmetry my whole adult life, I have come to the belief that we don’t fully know why symmetry is so important in physics. It may be more than one reason. Or it may be one reason. We aren’t there yet to be able to call it. We don’t even fully know what it is. We dont even know if symmetry and redundancy are different, equivalent or exactly the same thing. We dont know if Supersymmetry is a symmetry. We cant say easily what E8 is a symmetry of other than things made from E8. If you were simply to change the definite article at the beginning of this post, it instantly becomes a great point. If you leave it, it remains a fascinating boast. Either way, it’s great food for thought. Thx.
