@nonregemesse I dont think fantasy is really worth reading aside from Tolkien. I prefer mythology or the epics.

I have only ever read Tolkien and George R. R. Martin but enjoyed both. What other fantasy is worth reading?

@untimelysalts Attributing progress to the project of the wide range of philosophical studies, implies to me that there may be an end to it. Saying there may be an end to philosophy then implies that we will no longer be human.

Arguing that there could be progress in philosophy is akin to arguing that there could be progress in morality. It's possible from a given ethical perspective to perceive "progress", just as a Kantian might perceive "progress" if everyone in the academy started becoming Kantian.

@fandompulse Depends on what you mean by quality. When I first picked up Oathbringer, I could finish the first paragraph because of the poor prose.

@modernoverman Yes, Vitruvius wrote On Architecture (De Architectura). It’s the one work of his that survived.

@untimelysalts Still one of my favorite performances. Ive seen them twice now. Both times were pure intensity. Everyone was just standing still for like 2.5 hours.
