I did the math today. Most of my problems would disappear after about 1,250 Etsy sales. Not a million dollars. Not a lottery ticket. Just 1,250 strangers deciding something I made was worth buying. It's strange how close and how far a new life can feel at the same time.

Some days have passed now and I can say the new algorithm is a trap. My theory is that they’re following the TikTok model. First, they show your post to a bubble outside of your followers and topics, like a “for you” page Which could explain the amount of views with little interaction. From there, depending on how it’s received by viewers, it either stalls or keeps growing. Don’t trust the dopamine they give you in the first few minutes.
