With some of the recent discussion around it, I wanted to share this essay I wrote on Marx’s characteristic ambiguity and reading that ambiguity as an essentials pillar of his philosophy rather than as a historical accident. geesemag.com/marxs-material…

the roko's basilisk guys are so funny bc they correctly intuit that our lives will be controlled by a psychotic, amoral algorithm that hates humanity but they think some nerd in SF is going to build it on his macbook. it was already built, in 1602, by the Dutch

claude cowork is making me think maybe we’ll look back and it’ll be obvious that humans were never meant to spend their lives working behind a screen. we’ll see it as inevitable that computers do everything for us on computers and the future of work is cooler than we can imagine

I think its important we lean into how stupid people are now, realize whats happening and start an AI video account channel about highly sexual & sexualized fruit ppl but make this one woke, anti-war and filled with messages about solidarity and the warmth of collectivism

Im not against anti imperialist slogans (as another commenter noted, this is already integrated into the movement)--but yes, I do think that making it as much of a question of domestic power as possible is the key. Iran is a core issue, but not the only one that exists, and No Kings contains more than anti-imperialism.

I’m sorry, but making No Kings about taxing the rich would be a step back in political consciousness. The identification and denunciation of the enemy is a virtue and a step in front of economic demands, not behind
Julie@julesquinns

We will have an NYC-DSA contingent where we will very clearly be demanding taxes on the rich. Better yet: join the NYC-DSA crowd canvassing training tomorrow night and be the change you want to see in the world by canvassing the generic anti Trump rally for real leftist demands

really glad to publish this. The law, despite jokes about technicality, is extremely fluid and ambiguous. CRT and similar legal critical trends have had outsized impacts on larger society; better understanding of our legal structure is a powerful tool for critique. This piece especially goes into the problems with the "personalistic" approach to law that characterizes a lot of Western legal practice

Trans Liberation and Law: Structure, Limits and Strategy after For Women Scotland READ HERE: geesemag.com/articles/trans… Months after the UK Supreme Court’s “biological sex” ruling, nothing has been settled—only made more uncertain. In this piece originally published in Legal Form (@form_legal), A. E. Rosa explores the structural ambiguity characterizing law, and the consequences it has for legal struggle and the practical exigencies of trans liberation.

openclaw's been at it for a bit but large-scale integration through claude is going to be an absolute gamer-changer. white collar work will never be the same again.

If you genuinely believe that the class struggle is contained in tax the rich but not no kings then you’re a pied piper; what is funny is to come to this as a rightist ‘serious’ type, you’re just attempting to substitute advanced demands for your own hand picked slogans

“Class consciousness” is not exclusively contained in the slogan of taxing the rich and, more importantly, if you do not see how political coherence and conflict are the fundamental elements of class consciousness—then what you actually want is trade union consciousness
Rising Action 🇺🇦🇵🇸@RisingActionRA

Fucking delusional idiocy. We MUST gain class consciousness in the country for every future movement to have success. If people don't understand their class position in society, they DEFINETLY will not internationally.

@bioleera @chairmanmeowing I am more sympathetic to centering Trump, democracy, socialist demands, than Iran in this case. I don’t think we should be trying to redirect No Kings, we should be trying to organize and radicalize

@primarycatdad @irabgc This is imo precisely the terrain where the communists can struggle—if we recognize the moment and the potential—and where socialists, social democrats, and other reformists cannot
