@kaneblaise @RealPrismsword It just feels like a weird dichotomy to me. Their mindset is that they can use cheap coders but they can't use cheap artists.
I guess the difference is that when you hire cheap coders, you may not necessarily see the difference early on, or ever if you get really lucky

@random7HS @AikadoLoR The Hobbit is an easy read banger and The Silmarillion is a collection of stories some of which are gorgeous. LotR is the hardest snoozer of Tolkien's works.

The easiest way to shit on Tolkien is have any normal person read Fellowship. It takes like 200 pages of boring ass tree descriptions to just get out of the shire. Truly one of the most dull books I've read, but I muscled through the whole series bc it's a classic
