A disturbing pattern of political violence is unfolding across Assam, from attacks on opposition candidates @borthakur_mira's meeting in Dispur, to assaults on Bidisha Neog in Jalukbari, attempts to disrupt @KunkiCofficial’s rally in Guwahati, attack on Sunil Chetri in Naduar and the attack on Ajay Gogoi in Demow. These incidents expose the growing desperation of the BJP and the failure of the “double engine” government led by @himantabiswa. The Congress party strongly condemns these cowardly acts and demands strict action against those involved. Democracy cannot survive under fear and intimidation.
