I’m a developer and I’m afraid of character spaces; unless they’re in a sentence.

It’s alarming how quickly corporations absolve themselves during outages. Today’s global IT disruption shows our infrastructure’s fragility. Airlines say, ‘It’s a 3rd party’s fault,’ but choosing that 3rd party was their responsibility. #TechOutage #Accountability #Crowdstrike

what's the counterpart for features in neuroscience? there are numerous instances of category-specific semantic memory impairment. for one, patients fail to name living things (animals and plants) but can still name inanimate objects.
Anthropic@AnthropicAI

Dictionary learning works! Using a "sparse autoencoder", we can extract features that represent purer concepts than neurons do. For example, turning ~500 neurons into ~4000 features uncovers things like DNA sequences, HTTP requests, and legal text. 📄transformer-circuits.pub/2023/monoseman…

I'm looking for a solution for client-side views lists in Drupal with facets and client-side text search. Preferably without writing custom code so it its maintainable. Any possible solutions?

@elonmusk If twitter is being rebranded X, why forward x.com —> twitter.com and not the inverse <—?

@CharlesCMann In 1914, US had 100 million people emitting 15t CO2 per capita. Fast forward to 2021, with 331 million people still at 15t CO2 per capita. It’s vital to consider per capita rates! The same emissions per person, but the total carbon footprint has grown significantly.

@itsmeayyub Anyone else noticing a huge increase in gimmicky product placement ads presented as innocent tweets showing up in their feed from people they don't follow or have in lists?

Practically every general interest book on brains mentions various psych studies testing things using subliminal flashing of images that “can’t be consciously perceived”, yet still impact behavior. The fundamental premise is flawed — you can perceive 1 ms flashes of images just fine. Every frame glitch in a low-persistence VR headset would be “subliminal” by their theory, and that… isn’t true. You could make a truly subliminal information channel by blending your test image into a frame (or even a sequence of frames) at a low enough intensity that it actually isn’t noticeable, but then you won’t have any fun results to report. @stefvanlooveren I think DataStudio is probably not a good use of time at this point. You can translate most of it over to GA4.

Seeing projects at work get quotes of > 5k for setting up a Google Datastudio report and some SEO that's a few clicks makes me wonder: the 4-hour workweek is realistic in online marketing 😆

@jackthestreet @storybyphil a prompt that long I would have been reaching for multi prompts. Does that not help in V5?

I see the fusion of prompts works very well but I’ve also found the excessively wordy descriptions have very little influence on the final result, for example, no gold accents in the marble or chandelier, no staircase etc… Personally I feel MJ omits almost anything after 3+ sentences. Have you found that to be the case?

GptOS v0.1 - a #GPT4 JIT txt2app powered operating system. So far the only app I tried is the "About this OS". :-) Not practical by any means, slow, and expensive. But one heck of a fun prototype to build.

Configuration management in Drupal is extremely good. That being said, importing config from a large website into a fresh installation will sometimes get you into complex errors.
