@garyducat @AboutScotlandd Tierney refuses to play at right back. What a joke. McGrain and Jardine would play in any full back position for their country.

𝙏𝙞𝙣𝙤 𝙏𝙞𝙢𝙚? ➡️ 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 With Nathan Patterson ruled out until the end of the season, should Scotland look to persuade Tino Livramento ahead of the Euros? The talented full back can play on either side and has impressed in his debut season at Newcastle United making 32 appearances. Let us know what you think 🤔

@scotlandscoeff1 Pretty good experience for me - code activated almost bang on 12pm (on Apple device). It did say that it was unable to process my request when I tried to add fans first ticket, but I kept adding it and eventually went in my basket. Best to do it on a computer and copy/paste codes

Seems to be a few reports of the access codes locking today and some struggling to checkout 🔐 If you use your access code, but don’t complete the purchase or the payment fails, your access code will be locked for 30 minutes before you can re-enter & re-attempt the purchase 12+ pointers - how was your experience? Any words of advice on the system for those on 11 points trying to get tickets tomorrow?

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇩🇪 EURO 2024 FAQS 🇩🇪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 (5 mins reading time) 🅰️ Now Scotland have been drawn in Group A, the ticket sale to SSC members starts tomorrow (Wed 6th) at midday! ✍️🏼 This post has an assortment of questions sent to the page this week, broken down by category: ⚽️ Tickets, an example itinerary, Trains, Fanzones, The Last 16 & Christmas presents! ----- TICKETS 📩 Email from SFA will be sent FROM 10:30am, with an assurance you will receive by midday. It will include your access codes and a link to buy the tickets from UEFA website. Make sure you are registered on UEFA ticketing website in advance 3⃣ One access code per game (so you’ll have three access codes emailed) & you can't use other people's access codes to buy for them 🔒 If you use your access code, but don’t complete the purchase or the payment fails, your access code will be locked for 30 minutes before you can re-enter & re-attempt the purchase 🪑 Don't worry about fannying around trying to register to sit next to your friends, this can be done AFTER ordering by using the "seat with" option by adding your friends order number. Obviously seats from different price categories cannot be seated together 🔞 If you are buying for an eligible under 18 make sure you have familiarised yourself with the ‘sum up’ function in the SFA's FAQs, each adult can buy for 3 eligible under 18s ✅ The 7,869 people on 12+ points are all guaranteed all 3 games if they wish, and there should be at least 2,000 tickets per game for the 7,102 on 11 points to try for at midday Thursday (their access codes sent after 10:30am on Thursday) 🤯 As we are the opening match the prices are up to 3 times as expensive as every other group match, with the options €50, €195, €400 or €600 (+ small amount of restricted view price categories) 💰 €600 is more than double the price of any other ticket in the tournament (except for the semi-finals & final) 💶 The amount of tickets for each price category has been released today (pictures in comments) and there will be tickets available at all price points – likely the more expensive categories will sell last ⬇️ For the opening game 6,409 tickets will cost €195 or less. Therefore some of the 7,869 12+ pointers will likely have to pay €400 or €600 if they want a ticket - even if they have 30 points. It's very likely only those categories will be all that's left for any 11 pointers that get a ticket 2⃣ For the second and third games, roughly 9,000 of the 10,000 tickets will cost €150 or less 🪭 As an aside the "fans first" category is just a marketing name from UEFA to show they have cheaper tickets available, aimed at putting fans first! No laughing at the back. This is the same UEFA that mandates away fans can't be charged more than €70 in the Champions League as any more is deemed unaffordable and unfair on the travelling fan. Right. "Do as I say, not as I do" ⛔️ This price category has nothing to do with the, stupidly, exactly the same named "fans first" programme - those that were unsuccessful in the original ballot that will get emails if further tickets become available through failed payments etc 📲 General public ballot tickets are transferable to others between apps but tickets bought using SFA access codes are NOT transferable. 🚫 Remember tickets can’t be printed, or downloaded, with the QR code only appearing 3 hours before the match. So be wary of the many scammers operating already! 🗳️ You can apply for specific games by random ballot through UEFA until the 12th Dec. If any association doesn't sell out through their membership scheme - then those tickets will be added to that ballot 🕵️ Direct message me the word ‘scran’ for some ticketing information, if you will be a ticketless Scottish fan going next summer. I have 500 messages to go through from today but I will get back to you soon 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 There is an England fan (forgive him please) called Jon Darch @SafeStandingRS who has created a brilliant Germany travel guide website. He created this example Scotland itinerary based on prices found yesterday: ----- ----- TRAINS 🎫 All of the following discounts are for match ticket holders only, which is disappointing for the tens of thousands travelling without tickets. Everyone else will pay full price. 📲 Ticket holders will need to show your Euro 2024 fan pass on the UEFA app, together with your train ticket, so it acts like a railcard: 🆓 For travelling around the host city & region: Match ticket gives you a free 36 hour travel pass (only within the regional public transport network) from 06:00 on matchday until 18:00 the following day. The regional map is below, so for example when we are playing in Cologne, your match ticket would give you free travel from Dusseldorf or Dortmund, and back the next day: ----- --- 🔽 For those travelling from other German cities to the host city: EURO 2024 DB Ticket offers discounted €29.90 one way 2nd class tickets 2⃣ 2 journeys can be booked per match ticket (e.g. to and from host city) & can be booked from 17th January 2024, with limited availability so be quick with this 🚄 DB are putting on an additional 10,000 seats per day and this additional capacity is intended to be late night and overnight connections 🏨 Therefore you don’t necessarily need accommodation in the city we are playing, as late night trains home will be available “DB will nearly double the number of travel options after 11pm from the 10 venues to the 20 busiest long-distance stops” ✈️ For those flying into a nearby country and travelling in to Germany by train: 🚝 EURO 2024 Interrail Pass is a 25% discount for a round trip from 32 countries to Germany (and within Germany) 📅 Offering 4/5/7/10/15 days’ worth of travel, from the date activated & can be booked from 17th Jan 2024 ----- FANZONES 🎭 If you don’t have match tickets then the good news is the fanzones will be massive (30-80,000 capacity) 🕐 They will be open approx 13:00 until one hour after the last game finishes, will be free entry and include a variety of: football activities, DJs, food & drink, yoga classes, stand up comedy, eSports, live interviews and massive screens to watch the matches 📺 One of the three screens in Munich will be a 120m screen floating on Olympic Lake! 🏙️ Main fanzones & their public transport time to stadium: 1⃣ Munich: Olympiapark (10 mins walk) 2⃣ Cologne: Heumarkt in Altstadt (30 mins) & Tanzbrunnen (40 mins) 3⃣ Stuttgart: Schlossplatz (25 mins) 🇩🇪 However as there will only be one game on at a time (except group game 3, where there are 2 at a time), the majority of fanzones will show every game So even if you aren’t in Scotland’s matchday city you will still be able to see the game in a fanzone in Germany ----- LAST 16 ❓ But we’re class, should I bother flying home after the group stage? You probably should due to the time between games 📅 Our last game is Sunday 23rd June, and if we are in the top 2 we will reach the last 16. 4 out of 6 of the 3rd place teams also qualify. 4 points would guarantee this and 3 points would give a good chance 🟰 Our Last 16 possibilities if we qualify: 🥇 Sat 29th: 1A v 2C (Dortmund) 🥈 Sat 29th: 2A v 2B (Berlin) 🥉 Sun 30th: 1B v 3ADEF (Cologne) 🥉 Mon 1st: 1F v 3ABC (Frankfurt) 🥉 Tues 2nd: 1E v 3ABCD (Munich) 🥉 9⃣ Therefore we’d have somewhere between 6-9 days between the groups and the last 16 🥇 If we finish 1st = we play 2nd place from England & Denmark's group in Dortmund 🥈 If we finish 2nd = we play 2nd place from Spain & Italy's group in Berlin 🥉 If we finish 3rd = we play a group winner, and we would AVOID the winners of both France & Holland's group, and England & Denmark's group 📉 Each team only gets 6,000 tickets for last 16 + QFs & 7,000 for SF - compared to the 10,000 for a group stage match. Therefore if we make it, 13+ SSC points would be needed to guarantee a last 16 ticket. ✅ For hypothetical last 16 purposes, any friendlies between now and the tournament will likely count towards your SSC total but matches at the tournament definitely won't ⬆️ Therefore, come last 16 time, should we make it - it might actually be more than 13 points required to guarantee a ticket 🥉 Fellow nerds, the below is the method used in Euro 2020 to decide which 3rd place teams played who ❓Therefore if we finish third, we won't know until all other groups are finalised a) if we are one of the best 4 third placers or b) when and where our fixture would be. So it would present a mad dash for flights to get back out ---- ----- CHRISTMAS PRESENTS 🎄 20 days until Christmas - so if you are thinking of a Scotland themed Christmas present for a Scotland fan in your life then look no further! 👨‍💻 Scotland’s Coefficient followers can use exclusive discount code EURO24 for a 50% discount on ANY of the Scottish posters on the “Fitba Prints” etsy shop.
