This is a broader problem but as someone who's worked gig jobs before you as the consumer are essentially bidding for delivery when you pre tip. This is not broadly communicated or understood as the services because it makes the fees more obvious. In my expierence tips are about 80% of your income doing these jobs. So either they raise fees on the front end (they wont) or you don't pre tip and noone will take your order until the service boosts it enough to get someone desperate enough to make $6 and hour comes to your rescue so they can get a rock that night.

One of the biggest success stories of the past decade is DoorDash We finally have the technology to make consumers pay $120 for a $78 meal that'll arrive in 53 minutes lukewarm The enshittification of everything. It's hard to believe their was a time when the standard was free delivery, hot food, delivered in under 30 minutes, delivery driver was lucky to get 10% tip ($2 on a $20 order) Now you get squeezed. You pay multiples more for food that isn't as good, service that isn't as good, an experience that isn't as good.

My favorite source of news on Cardano is @laurashin Her track record exposing frauds is amazing. That's why her pointed criticism of Cardano and @IOHK_Charles is groundbreaking as her previous exposées.

@cexplorer_io @TheOCcryptobro has no affiliation with any SPO nor founding entity cementing his neutrality. Is active in the community and has been around for a long time. Has a holistic and nuanced view of where Cardano needs to go. I trust him to vote with a sound rationale.

I feel comfortable about compensation for 2 out of 3 governance arms: the CC and SPOs. DReps still no. I don't know why. DRep compensation still doesn't sit well with me. Probably cause it will lead to a hyperinflation of DReps and more shallow voting. Not sure.

Big news: Cardano is now fully integrated into the Brave browser! 🎉 You can manage assets, execute transactions and participate in governance in the browser without an extension. Just use Brave's built-in wallet!

In Fund13, the Cardano Foundation had a decisive and massive voting power of 200 million ADA. The good news is that in Fund14, with just 5,000 ADA you can achieve an equivalent level of voting power 👀 The cube root of 200 million ADA is 585. Since the minimum participation amount in Fund14 is 25 ADA, you can prepare 200 wallets with a 25 ADA balance each. 25^(1/3) * 200 = 585, which equals the voting power of a single wallet holding 200 million ADA.

I’ve been a Python developer for over twenty years (I remember the Python 2 transition). For more then half that time I was principally a Python dev. Python is very slow. Almost anything else is faster. But most apps get hardly any traffic, if you have single digit requests per second Python is perfectly adequate.

Over the last 10 years, I’ve learned something: Every single person claiming that “Python is slow” tends to be a newcomer with no experience building software. They are usually dropouts of a bad JavaScript bootcamp. More importantly, if you think that Python isn’t a “production-capable” language, you are definitely too early in your career.
Oscar Le@oscarle_x

@svpino Python is too slow and is suitable to be the language that dev use to code things. But running under the hood in production is usually other faster languages.
