I don't know how good their data was before the by-election was called – but from what I've seen in Haringey, the Greens have form for building up a dataset from basically nothing very quickly, and being able to turn out volunteers to door-knock supporters and persuadables. The Labour advantage has always been having voter data that practically goes back to the Domesday book, but the Greens have shown it's an advantage that can be eroded pretty quickly.

I’ll be honest, never seen a by election voting day ground game like the Greens had today.
