Latest voting intention splits for our segments over the past month. A few things jump out: - The Greens are now 19 points ahead with Progressive Activists, coming close to getting half the vote with this group, pretty extraordinary for a group that gave Labour 57% in 2019. - Reform for the first time lead with Traditional Conservatives which is equally extraordinary given Boris Johnson got 85% of them. (Though a smaller group so smaller sample and bigger swings/higher MoE) - Meanwhile the residual Tory vote appears to be moving 'left'. The only group they lead with are Established Liberals (Cameronite/Blairities are closest proxy), while they've actually gained ground from 2024 among the Incrementalist Left (sort of centrist dad) - Labour are being kept afloat almost entirely by support among the Incrementalist left. - Much of Reform's success will be determined by the extent to which they hold on to their lead Rooted Patriots. Dissenting Disruptor Reform voters are more true believers, Rooted Patriots (red wall voters) are very dissatisfied with status quo (cost of living, NHS, migration especially) but also more risk averse. They're the group that currently think 'if it can't get any worse maybe i will roll the dice'. If things improve or Reform appears too risky they'd lose this group first.
