@TheDarkEnjoyer I heard about the tweet from Niji’s former COO and it made a lot of sense. He talked about corpos not giving the ip to the talent because of tax reasons. It would cost a lot in taxes to give away the ip for free to the talent if the ip made a good mount of money.

Not really when you have a choice in the matter of who you watch. It's not "taking the job" of vtubers because most people who watch Neuro/Evil are going to watch other vtubers who are human as well. There is not an excessive market of AI vtubers (yet) that are drowning out human vtubers. Vedal also has tons of collabs with other vtubers that are included in Neuro's/Evils streams so it's not just the AI alone with the chat. There's always a human behind Neuro to some extent.

They certainly didn't look to make sure the game didn't use it before taking the sponsorship money.

Why do artist's charge Vtubers MORE for commissions than others?
Well it's really simple. Monitizable fees.
If you use the art, even if you don't make money from it, that art can bring value to your brand.
If you gain 1000 new followers from a piece of art, that piece brought you VALUE!
If you use a piece of art on your stream and get subs.
The art may not have directly been the reason you got that sub BUT you still benefited from having a nice stream.
This may be a hot take.
But I am an Artist.
I have seen to many Vtubers say the commission is personal use and than use it for advertising down the line.
I don't agree it should cost an arm and a leg, but I do believe artists have the right to charge this fee.

People have this idea of the “lucky boy” trope... Where the victim is a teenage boy, and the perpetrator is a hot teacher, a subset of the public, jurors, or even judges don’t view it as serious abuse. It's just another disgusting cultural minimization of harm to male victims.
This is why statutory rape convictions involving male teachers get up to 222% longer prison sentences than those involving women, even after controlling for victim age, number of victims, and other variables.
The reality is, victims, regardless of gender, have up to 4x higher risk of suicide attempts, depression, PTSD, anxiety disorders, and substance use disorders.
Normalized dismissal because the victim is male is just another piece of evidence of cultural acceptance/norm of misandry and gynocentric privilege.
And when the male victims try to get help? They get mocked, laughed at, and... and if you are the type of person who excuses this just because she is "hot", go fuck yourself.
