multiple founders over the last few days have told me that their decision to build with OpenAI vs Anthropic is increasingly not technical, especially as the models seemingly “leapfrog each other every few weeks.” rather they say it’s about the experience theyve had with the teams at each lab - how much attention they’ve been given, how they’ve been treated, and most importantly, the vibes. thoughts? 👀

OpenAI’s culture is deeply customer-centric. We’re basically just an oversized YC company.
The level of engagement you see from our team on Twitter happens just as much, if not more, with our startup and enterprise customers.
I’m constantly amazed at the level of responsiveness and urgency we support customers with, given the size and scale we’re operating at.
This is likely because @sama was a YC founder and our company is largely operated by former founders.
I consistently hear feedback from our customers, no matter their size, that they appreciate this about working with OpenAI.
