As you know, NATO is a defense-alliance, not an attack-alliance.
The ONLY time the NATO treaty (article 5) has ever been activated was on September 12, 2001 - by the US asking for help.
And ALL NATO countries immediately responded with the help requested.
None of the other nations have ever called for NATO help.
