@underverse @FilipMelanchton @DavidKlion See below. The Ottoman Empire emancipated its Jews in 1856 and modernized their land ownership laws in 1858. It was a prime motivator for Russian Jews to emigrate to Palestine as they could buy land. The Arabs did not adjust to these changes.

@FilipMelanchton @DavidKlion That's actually wrong. They lived on the land but didn't own it. The land was owned by Ottomans and Egyptians. This is why their equitable claim is weak.

@Amalektgh I doubt that very much. You want to be seen as in-the-right. That’s human nature. If you were indifferent to being accused of nazism, you wouldn’t be scrumming on twitter about it.

@Amalektgh Because my country supplies them with billions of $$ in arms and aid, and I don’t want our tax base funding war crimes.

@Amalektgh I notice you haven’t even tried to deny that your rationale for the civilians deaths in Gaza is the same employed by the Nazis. In fact you seem very comfortable with the overweening logic.

@Amalektgh Why are you so concerned with what other entities do, or to what extent I’ve condoned or condemned them? The standards are the standards. Even if I were motivated by antisemitism that wouldn’t negate anyone’s obligation to observe them.

@Amalektgh Especially when the excuse is that violating those standards is the only way to protect a specific ethnic group.

@Amalektgh I’m not “demanding” anything. I’m just pointing out the obvious, that there are global standards on armed conduct, and that rejecting them puts you in ugly company.

@Amalektgh I’ll say again, this is fascist ideology. You don’t think any humanitarian standards should intrude on the operations of the security state as long as they only harm other ethnicities. So did the Nazis. Congratulations, you’ve come a long way, baby.

@underverse Well too bad. If Hamas can’t protect its kids, maybe it should stop starting wars or whining about the inevitable outcome. Nobody cares about your phony concern for kids - that is basically an attempt to hamstring Jews while holding Arabs responsible for nothing

@IgnoreKassandra @squirrelpsps @JonahPlatt “If they're not what the hell is the point of keeping either of you around?” this isn’t 1944 anymore and Jews are no longer betting their survival on the benevolence of “good” people like you. The narcissistic arrogance of thinking you decide if Jews are worth keeping around.

Masterclass in demagoguery from Ms. Rachel: "Wanting kids to live isn't antisemitic." True sentence. Five words. Zero accountability. A whole community smeared. Because in that framing, the only reason Jews would object... is that they don't want kids to live. This is what modern Jew-hatred looks like dressed up as kindness.

Never forget, Section 5 of the 14th Amendment gives Congress, not SCOTUS, the power to enforce the provisions of the amendment. Ultimately, the political branches get the final say on who is a citizen.
