"Bantu speaking Africans are more related to each than we are to West Africans." Arguable. Bubis, a Bantu population from 🇬🇶, are genetically "closer" to West Africans than they are to other Bantus.

@Original_Libbro You are also we wuzzing, those dishes are Bantu and they have nothing to do with West Africa. Bantu speaking Africans are more related to each than we are to West Africans.

@Stats_Kenya Yeah we need to rid of some assumptions. Like education perfectly correlates with development. This is true at higher levels but not at lower levels.eg Africa per capita now is lower than US and Europe in 1890 even though its literacy levels are 5 times higher.

In 1985, literacy rates in Sub-Saharan Africa were higher than in South Asia. Today, even though both regions have made progress, in Africa, the pace has been slower.

@thumay9700 @NUPkuntiko @Original_Libbro Now where in what you posted does it date proto bantus to central Nigeria. The consensus has always been cameroon don't know where you got central Nigeria from

@valuebasedintro @NUPkuntiko @Original_Libbro Reading comprehension 🤦🏿‍♂️ The expansion started at the border, the shared ancestor came from the confluence of the River Niger which is central Nigeria. Where do you think the these things happened? Simple question.

@NUPkuntiko @thumay9700 @Original_Libbro Proto nilote=\ modern day nilote. But proto nilotes are the common ancestor for cushites and nilotes. What do you think happened after the ball migration of ‘cushites’?

@valuebasedintro @NUPkuntiko @Original_Libbro Majority of Bantu men have a West African Y-haplogroup, even w/ the maternal haplogroups it’s still roughly 50% West African. Are you trying to claim the Bantu expansion & split from the shared ancestor happened somewhere other than the region between central Nigeria & Cameroon?

@Original_Libbro @thumay9700 @mandelasmind @NUPkuntiko He needs to stop calling Bantus Nigerian, those are fighting words😆. But all in all I agree with the phrase Bantus share a common ancestor with west Africans. I however don’t agree with the term Bantus are from west Africa.

@thumay9700 @valuebasedintro @Original_Libbro What makes you think it's "west african" haplogroup and not a "bantu" haplogroup? Maybe the west african have a bantu haplogroup due to interactions or maybe humans just happen to share that haplogroup. You do realize bantus share haplogroups with nilotes?

@i_am_nunya @reyyyy888k @Qhamamk You live in Germany and live very comfy. Let people in Ghana make their money. You lambasting them all the way when you’re in Europe is hilarious 😆

@thumay9700 @NUPkuntiko @Original_Libbro You’re the one who brought up igbos lol. You’re also the one who said that Bantus lived further west than igbos when that’s also not true. And to be fair modern Bantus don’t map close to eastern west Africans that closely tbf.

@valuebasedintro @NUPkuntiko @Original_Libbro Bantus in Cameroon will map closer to Nigerians than they will to a Bantu in South Africa, what’s your point? The original Bantus were genetically closer to a modern Igbo than a modern Bantu, that’s a fact as well.

@valuebasedintro @copperskin722 Again, this is proving my point. Sickle cell can be had regardless of ancestry. I’m not saying they’re the same but they’re closer than you’re admitting. I’m also saying the reason they’re different is due to socio economic factors the rigidified by social systems.

@Wind_Drawn @copperskin722 This doesn’t even make sense lol. If you said the small amount of lactase enzymes compared to Tutsi is because of socioeconomic status I’ll give that to you but prevalence of sickly cell mutations has nothing to do with that.

@thumay9700 @NUPkuntiko @Original_Libbro You do understand west africa encompasses many groups not just Igbo and yorubas? Igbos and Bantus do share a common ancestor no one is arguing this but they are still different from Bantus. They will map closer to the Bantus in Cameroon however

@valuebasedintro @NUPkuntiko @Original_Libbro Are Igbos not considered West African now? The shared ancestor between Igbos and Bantu lived more West than where Igbos currently reside in Nigeria. The migration pattern of E1b1a goes from East Africa to Central Nigeria, then spread to Central and Southern Africa from there.
