@UndyingAttack1 @NUPkuntiko @valuebasedintro @thumay9700 Neither Igbo nor Yoruba are Benue-Congo languages.
English

@Original_Libbro @NUPkuntiko @valuebasedintro @thumay9700 Yes Yoruboid, Igboid and Bantu languages fall under the Benue-Congo branch because of geographic proximity with Cameroon.
English

"Bantu speaking Africans are more related to each than we are to West Africans."
Arguable. Bubis, a Bantu population from 🇬🇶, are genetically "closer" to West Africans than they are to other Bantus.

The Black Judas🇿🇦 🇨🇻 🇬🇧@UndyingAttack1
@Original_Libbro You are also we wuzzing, those dishes are Bantu and they have nothing to do with West Africa. Bantu speaking Africans are more related to each than we are to West Africans.
English

@mandelasmind @NUPkuntiko @valuebasedintro @Original_Libbro I didn’t know Nigerians flexing in South Africa has driven you guys to the point of creating Hyperborean fantasies.
thumay@thumay9700
@VALENTINEBOYO @mrnarc1ssist The claim is Nigerians move to South Africa, commit crime, flex their ill-gotten gains, and fuck all the South African women.
English

@valuebasedintro @thumay9700 @Original_Libbro They don't. Igbos simply have some borrowed culture and linguistic terms from the ejagham(bantu) but that's pretty much it. There's ancestral link.
English

@NUPkuntiko @valuebasedintro @thumay9700 Dog 🐶
Proto-Bantu: *mbʊ́à
Proto-Yoruboid: *á-byá
Goat 🐐
Proto-Bantu: *mbʊ́dì
Akpes: ɛbují
Pearl millet
Proto-Bantu: *cángʊ́
Legbo: nzana

@valuebasedintro @Original_Libbro @thumay9700 They're still lying. You cannot come from a place/region and share no linguistic similarities. The few bantu groups in Nigeria and bantus in cameroon more likely immigrated there than all other bantus came from there. It's just stupid.
English

@valuebasedintro @thumay9700 @NUPkuntiko Agreed 👍 Africans are so blinded by tribalism and xenophobia that they get triggered by simple facts smh
English

@Original_Libbro @thumay9700 @NUPkuntiko Ohh I do understand, proto Bantu are not the same as modern Bantus but that’s neither here nor there.
I think we mostly agree, most Bantus just see the phrasing as calling them Nigerian which is a no no😆
English

@valuebasedintro @thumay9700 @NUPkuntiko The argument isn’t about modern populations. We are talking about a late Holocene origin in West Africa in the early Iron Age period. No one is saying Bantus descend from modern West African populations
English

@thumay9700 @NUPkuntiko @Original_Libbro West African are not the same though, I’m specifically talking about a specific group lol
English

@Bygones_24 @Phillip05166897 Literally have a counter example showing millet in the southern Cameroonian forest 2k years ago. Reading must not be your thing. Goodbye, I am done wasting my time
English

@Original_Libbro @Phillip05166897 No difference. Same grasses. Cant grow in forests
English

Bantus knew of no flours until they hit eastern congo to find sudanic millet n sorghum. They ate Yam. They pounded it

Lib Bro@Original_Libbro
English

@Bygones_24 @Phillip05166897 I’m talking about millet not sorghum
English

@Original_Libbro We went thro all these with @Phillip05166897. Sorghum couldnt grow in forest. Bantus had no knolwedge of it until they emerged out of forest
English

@Bygones_24 If you keep spamming me with this shit I will block you
English

@Original_Libbro Obsessed with what. Bantu knew of root n stem tubers n oil crops. They pounded yams. They didnt do sorghum or millet..or porridge or ugali or kima. These are basics

English

Youre as always full of BS

Lib Bro@Original_Libbro
Bruh not everything is from Nilo-Saharans 🤦♂️. Quit the wuzzery. Ugali is clearly of Bantu origin. For one it's just the typical Niger-Congoid swallow food. Two, it has cognates outside of Eastern Bantu languages which refer to a paste made from COWPEAS, a West African crop
English

@Bygones_24 Kenyan tribalist is doesn’t want to think for himself
English

@Wind_Drawn @mandelasmind @UndyingAttack1 Bruh it’s over for black people. Instead of addressing claims in a scientific manner we resort to emotional manipulation tactics like this 🤦🏿♂️ by this logic “Africans” don’t exist cuz my great great grandfather didn’t call himself an African
English

@mandelasmind @UndyingAttack1 @Original_Libbro Obviously they didn’t call themselves these terms but that’s irrelevant no? If I stopped calling myself a human that wouldn’t make me not a human. These are descriptive terms assigned so we can try to have a more objective understanding of the world around us.
English

@NUPkuntiko @valuebasedintro Then give me your “scientific” theory which can explain why
1. Bantus carry West African haplogroups (E-M2 for example)
2. Why Bantu languages share cognates with west African ones
3. Why Bantus share material culture with West Africans (instruments, iron tech, etc.)
I’ll wait
English

@Original_Libbro @valuebasedintro Bantu didn't come from West Africa. Stop the pseudo science theory
