When I talk to more established startups, one of the first things I want to know, after asking about the growth rate and whether they're profitable, is whether the founders still have board control. I'm more optimistic about the company when the answer is yes.

I’ve been critical of @PeterAttiaMD in the past (on issues about which we were both probably wrong, btw). While I don’t agree with everything, it is a very good read, and will help many people, including me. The last chapter is especially gutsy and important. Kudos, Peter.

I would love to read more about the journey from $10M in revenue to $100M in revenue. Not just because that's the zone we are in at soona, but because it feels like it's not written about much. Anyone have some good reads on this topic they would recommend?

The single best thing you can do as a founder is build friendships with other founders at similar stages who you can go to. This weekend, I had one real talk about talent issues. One real talk about a tough negotiation. And one real talk about exhaustion. It saves my sanity.

@yodeets Agreed. Reinvention is an underdiscussed and overlooked tool. I've had to 'reinvent' myself several times throughout my career. And am so thankful I figured out how to early on.

Imagine being the best in the world at something. Spending all of your time perfecting your craft. Then, in your 30s, have to walk away. Start fresh and be a 'beginner' at something completely different. Welcome to being an elite athlete. It's why retirement is often a struggle
