Seeing a few excuses in the comments claiming it's fine AMD took over 1 year to bring FSR 4 to RDNA 3 because development takes time blah blah blah we don't know what we're taking about blah blah We knew for a fact that FSR4 INT8 offered a better experience than FSR 3.1 for RDNA3 in October 2025! We tested it and proved it. They could have and should have released the feature back then. So yes the amount of time it's taken is unacceptable

Was the version AMD accidentally released last year unfinished or unoptimized? Maybe. But you know what is worse than an unoptimized version of FSR 4? It's FSR 3.1, that AMD restricted older GPU owners to for a further 9-10 months

@HardwareUnboxed It's not just the GPU owners that they restricted, but also the devs. Why would they prioritize implementing FSR 4.0 when so few users will be able to use it?
