@jayjaybrown97 My 10 siblings had migrated to up North so when Father died I thought it best to join them. Didn't take long to figure out THE TRAP, and that even with modest resources quality of life here was far better. Returned home 40 years ago, never looked back, best decision of my life.

@jayjaybrown97 BTW, a lady who came to rent my apartment before I left for Toronto told me she'd lived in Quebec for many years but had now returned home to Jamaica because she was "tired of shovelling snow". So at the very least I'd been warned to stick to apartment living!
