If every school implemented a few things I think we could turn it around. 1 - First class every day for the entire school is pushups, sit-ups & Squats. 2 - Remove the junk, get back to reading, writing, math, fixing stuff, rifle classes, cooking/bbqing, self-defense. 3 - Cut class time down to 4-6 hours a day. 4 - Teach about taxes, money management, how to grocery shop. (this is if we don't destroy the Fed ;) ) 5 - Jr High should be picking a skilled trade and about the laws of the land. Then high school should be starting a business with mentors and by the time you leave, you should be self-sufficient, making money and doing something you enjoy. Every other path seems silly.

@WhiteHouse My mom is 76 years old. Draws SS and still has to work full time. She is taxed on both SS and income and still had to pay 3800 bucks after taking an advantage of the new tax breaks.
