Nathaniel Lowe's mother, Wendy Lowe, is currently undergoing treatment for brain cancer. Everybody from the FOX baseball family is joining and cheering Wendy Lowe on in her fight with cancer. Tom Rinaldi has more on Wendy's fight.

@wayword I occasionally use "pickle off" as a verb meaning to get rid of something/ somebody. No idea where it came from until I searched your archives-Thank you! Has it now moved to common usage? Or is it just me. :)

Word that’s making me smile today: scattergood. It’s a 16th century word for spendthrift, but wouldn’t it be lovely if instead it meant someone who scatters good? “She was a scattergood who brightened the lives of everyone who knew her.”
