@real_marie No, it doesn't seem foolish. There are probably Reddit threads that already answer your question. I would recommend doing some research on LinkedIn as well and look for someone who has already made this career transition. Career changes are work, but you can do it!

Cybersecurity does not currently have many entry-level positions. It's okay to pursue one career before entering the field. Folks complain about people having degrees when in reality, they are mad about how expensive degrees are (US-based) and how it doesn't guarantee a job.
