Anyone mocking another member of the NFT community for letting us know why they decided to leave should be ashamed of themselves. Iโm disgusted by the bullying that Iโve seen today.

The funny thing is normally the ones that really leave the nft space are the ones not announcing it. So many artists and collectors that I never saw again in the last years and it took me a while to realize they are gone. Anyways anybody is free to express any decision they want to take without getting mobbed. What the hell? The sentiment here shifted a lot last months. itโs great people speak their mind now. we left the stage of ass licking to get collected, to be in the right circles etc. thatโs cool imo, but we switched to complete negativity. You can feel collectors are frustrated they lost money, artists have nothing to lose anymore because few still collect and so all go berserk lol Itโs less fun atm. This in addition to an algo thatโs tough to understand and handle. I wish everyone would just focus again, at least partly, to investing time and energy to talk and share art again. I hope this is just a transition and we can arrive at talking about problems here in a constructive manner without going back to the ass licking. Really need a healthy balance between now and back then.

Few understand how NFTs work in 2026.
It has always been about the community, the "utility" is just something to draw a specific type of investors in.
The access to network is always at the top, we need a sense of belonging and identity to navigate the space.
There would have been no perfect time for @frankdegods to execute on his early days vision, just like there's no perfect way for @armaniferrante to do his TGE.
Enjoy the art, enjoy the community. Go talk to the people on discord, raid each other on X, make some plays together.
NFTs have changed from investing to collecting.

Iโm no longer a Lad.
With this decision, Iโm officially out of NFTs. Mad Lads was my last bet that this meta would eventually come back.
This wasnโt a financial decision, not about BP price, not about allocation. It was something else.
Lads, for me, was never about money. It was about the people. I found real friends here, and I genuinely loved the community we had, especially before the Backpack TGE.
What made me step away is something harder to ignore: I started feeling a growing hesitation among people to speak their minds. Long-term holders with strong opinions getting blocked from Discord and Telegram wasnโt something I ever expected. I never thought censorship would be part of Mad Lads.
To me, Lads were always the ones who were a bit crazy, louder than the rest, and unapologetically different, not fitting into traditional boxes. That spirit is what made it special.
I still believe Backpack is a great product, and Iโll continue using the exchange. I wish Armani and the team nothing but success. I do think there was a misstep with the Lads, but Iโm just one voice, time will tell the full story.
To everyone I met along the way, thank you. Wishing every Lad the best. Once a Lad, always a Lad.

Looking back on the past 5 years, I realize that this journey has introduced me to some of the finest people I have even encountered, some that I now consider family while at the same time enjoying some of the finest art ever produced with you all.
