My problem with the excusing sykkuno on these grounds
Is its saying being a horrible person does not matter?
Are we really at the point of a society people are only bad if they are sex offenders or worse?

I haven't read this yet, but from what I'm hearing, the only real things Sykkuno is being accused of is: 1. Cheating on his girlfriend 2. Flirting with multiple women at once and lying about being single 3. Flirting with one creator after they turned 18 If there's evidence of Sykkuno using his status to bribe and offer publicity to women in exchange for sex in the doc, then that's a serious thing, but I haven't heard anyone mention it at all. And, all of the screenshots that I've seen were consensual on both sides. So, other than being a cheater and a bad boyfriend, there's not much here, unless there's some damning evidence in the doc that people aren't mentioning.

Most of the time if shippers are a large group in a fandom it’s because romance has some major focus in the story. There are exceptions ofc but that’s how it is generally speaking.

I do think this is a question a lot of people have.
The reality is simply that there is a huge lack of Japanese - English translators out there.
Not just in the anime / manga world but in general.
Another reason is the nuance.
Although translators usually put their all into translating, it is simply impossible to provide all the information that a native language offers in translated works!
