With island transactions you have to be careful… You do not want to play greedy with this and you have to give value to the player that is purchasing it. Some people will look at this as an easy money grab, they’ll mislead their players onto getting items and they will eventually never play the map because they feel scammed. Be smart, make players happy, let them feel awarded. Do the right thing :) I am pretty sure that some maps could potentially fall off hard if they do this wrong… (Not talking about any specific map/creator, just putting my thoughts on a post).

This life that I am living right now was only possible because I knew how to handle failure… Success does not come from yesterday, I started on UEFN in February 2024, since then I have been grinding it like no one else has. I sacrificed everything (my university degree, my free time, hanging out….) because this is what makes me happy. One of the things that make me a “decent”, as the very least, verse developer is that I went and try to make unique systems that challenge UEFN limits. I remember that I spent 1 month trying to figure out how to spawn 1000000 accolades devices because I knew that the XP awarded depended on the device itself, the finishers code was also challenging and my very first good code, the medallions mechanic made me realize I could do “anything”, the custom projectiles/weapons was actually really exciting to make; probably the system I love the most, the superpowers box pvp system is the one that has taught me the most; it made me master abstract classes, the Squid Nite minigame manager was insanely helpful; also a inflexion point since it made me understand how multiplayer games work at his fullest (this is actually insane and probably the thing I like about me the most because this basically means that once I detect an issue, I will know what to do to fix it)… And list goes on and on. I do not have enough words to write here to explain all the things I have made, some of them are yet to see the light (they’re not on any public map), such as a turret/trap mechanic (like in Black Ops zombies), Pokemon catching mechanic, etc. With this I just wanted to let you all know how my journey was… It was not easy and I went all in. This was also possible because I surrounded myself with incredible people that I will never forget and will always be grateful with… They helped me expecting nothing back from me and I will never ever forget about it. You all know who you are, if we have ever shared some words in DMs, you are one of them 100 %. If I had to give advice to anyone, I will just say this to them: Put your time in what you believe in. Thank you, UEFN & Fortnite 🖤 This has just started.
