I feel like I'm going to throw up. I'm heartbroken for the people of Iran who have suffered and died in this disgusting war. I'm old and remember 2001-2003, this feels like a speed run of all the ugliest, most disgusting shit the US is capable of.

Not October 7th 2023, but October 5th 2004. Before Hind Rajab there was Iman Darweesh Al Hams. A 13 year old girl machine gunned multiple times by an IDF commander on her way to school. Her killer said he'd have done the same if she had been 3 years old. He was not punished. That's how atrocious Israel's oppression and dehumanization of Palestinians already was in 2004, 19 years before October 7th, the events of which are consistently misrepresented by zionists and the date has become a battle cry to justify the murder of more children like Iman Darweesh Al Hams . Things have slipped into a truly apocalyptic atmosphere now, since back then the killer was accused by his comrades in arms of killing the girl and he was charged with illegal use of his weapon, conduct unbecoming an officer and perverting the course of justice by an Israeli military court. He was found not guilty however. Today we know you can brutalize Palestinians on camera, kill them in any number of creative ways and no comrades in arms will step forward to accuse you, nor will your case see the inside of any courtroom, which am sure saves everyone involved the time it takes to come up with a not guilty verdict anyway. The young girl was shot near Rafah. The commander riddled her with bullets at close range with his machine gun and made sure she was dead. He was aquitted because it was ruled that this 13 year old girl could have been seen as a potential threat.

The first casualties of this war were almost 200 little girls and their teachers, but a guy in a plane dropping bombs on people gets downed and NOW there’s a “human dimension” to the war?

Even if it wasn't going to fail, it'd still be a monstrous decision. The US is run by death cultists, it's criminal and appalling and I'm deeply ashamed to be an American, considering everything. Just want to clear that up.

I can't believe the US is actually going to try to invade Iran. I'm just some guy, here, and I'm trying to be wary of everything I read and share, and I'm trying to avoid bias, etc... But it seems like it's universally regarded as a certain failure. It's just mind-boggling.

The Economist and Bloomberg also called the downing of fighter jets an “escalation” by Iran. Everyone knows you’re supposed to just let invading militaries bomb your universities and girls’ schools and apartment buildings and that shooting back is an act of unhinged aggression.

The New York Times is now describing Iran's very normal acts of self-defense - shooting down American jets that are BOMBING THEIR FUCKING COUNTRY - as an "escalation from Iran's leadership." Completely unhinged to publish stuff like this.

Iran: 'Here are 4 pages explaining we fight the American government, not the American people.' Americans: 'We can't read all that.' Iran: 'Here's an AI Lego video calling your leaders drunk rapists.' Americans: 'Damn. Solid point.'

I think what is happening right now qualifies as a world war. They should really just call it already.

@JeninYounesEsq Ha... I long ago got over it, but thank you. This was in Boston in the 80's when the Celtics were winning championships and it was impossible to get tickets unless you knew someone (and we didn't). I was a huge fan and had never been to a game so I was pretty crushed at the time.

Forty years ago today, my dad woke me up with the news that the Larry Bird Celtics would be playing an exhibition game against the Dr. J 76ers at my grade school gym that afternoon at the end of the school day. I believed it all through breakfast. Best/worst April Fool's ever.
