@JesseCox The Guy Ritchie Holmes films are some of my favorite modern adaptations of Holmes and Watson as characters. Elementary is a close second, but it lacks a lot of the fun characters you get from Scotland Yard, among…other things.

@AxiomVerge Music is quite good. Art design is awesome. Fun sci-fi story with some fun depth and a bit of crunchy ambiguity to chew on in both installments. Weapons/items are unique in both games. There’s a Justin Bailey Easter egg in AV1. In AV2 there’s an ability that lets you be bees.

@PirateSoftware Ah see that’s the fun part: unlike most systems, Lancer hands you the best mech for License Level 0. We hit LL4 in the last campaign I was in and it was spec’d to hell with Smith-Shimano goodies, but I was *still* running an Everest. The system is *very* fun indeed!

@BackspinZX Legit read 10% of the core rulebook before passing out last night. I love the hell out of this setting and the dice mechanics seem incredibly fun on paper. No idea what to run first!

I normally have music or videos playing while I work, it's never a distraction. The only time that I have to shut everything off is when I'm writing. I wonder if full-time writers and composers have to do the same.

Look This is really easy Video games are for entertainment. If you aren’t entertained with one, then find a game that does that for you. I find games I don’t like all the time. You don’t need to explain your reasons to anyone. Go enjoy. Life’s too short man.

It’s an argument that if things go this way, due to the legal and financial quagmires and development logistics issues that will arise, we will actively see less games in the EU at the minimum because it will disincentivize making online games.

@bendreyfuss This is why they need to make every movie the opening of a new Dino theme park. Mitigates why they don’t just carpet bomb the area. New rich people believing THEY are the ones to open the safe Dino park is the most believable part of the premise.

The biggest problem with every Jurassic park movie is that in reality it would be easy to kill the dinosaurs. In the new one they have to collect some blood from some dinosaurs and chaos ensues. But just kill the dinosaurs with drones & collect the blood from their fresh corpses

Fewer games will get made as a result of the initiative. Or fewer games will get sold in the EU. You can put laws in place, but the colonies will react to the law in the way best *for them.*

They already hold most of the cards in these negotiations, this would hand them the last few. That, or they’d charge the people hosting servers instead.

It's literally just "give players the ability to host their own servers if you shut down" They'd simply change IP law to say "once it's sold the IP is only binding to what the creators can do, not the customer" (ex: The Crew only had the license for Ferraris for a few years)
